ECMO TEAM at Critical Care Department Performs First ECMO on COVID-19 Case in Egypt
The ECMO team at the Critical care Department, Kasr Al Ainy performed successfully ECMO on a COVID-19 patient at the Kasr Al Ainy Teaching Hospital
The procedure was performed by Professor Akram Abdel Bary, Professor of Critical care medicine with the ECMO clinical team.
ECMO services has been pioneered at the Critical Care center since 2014 to be the first in Egypt to provide this technology to patients.
The ECMO team belongs as well to the Egyptian ECMO Working Group presided by Professor Alia Abdel Fattah
