The Critical Care Center of Kasr Al Ainy Celebrates 40 years in 2022

In March 1982, the Critical Care Center of Cairo University was inaugurated by the founder Dr Sherif Mokhtar, Professor of Cardiology and Critical Care medicine, Cairo University.

The first center to be established in Egypt to serve critically ill patients  providing state of the art patient care coupled with the latest technology available. The iconic center celebrates in March 2022 its 40th anniversary. 

The presentation covers a time line of the achievement of Dr Mokhtar in establishing the unit and the specialty in Egypt. Dr Mokhtar the pioneer of critical care medicine in Egypt and the region is continuing his unlimited efforts through the Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP) in advancing the science and practice of critical care medicine.
